There were a few cringe moments that made me sort of hesitate, but I’m glad I kept going because the smut alone made this entire book worth it. Unfortunately the Mrs cane in with me, but then decided she wanted to have a look at a few pieces herself, as well as the ones that I was looking at.The story is classic sweet omegaverse - cosy, cute, romantic, with loads of love and lovin’ 😉 😉 😉 and I think this might have been the closest I got to feeling the same vibes as Lola and the Millionaires by Kathryn Moon (it’s the blueprint okay! To be honest, I forgot that River was a native New Yorker, and when the character had this New York accent, it brought something new that I didn’t know I was missing before. Or else he will start wanting to paint your nails all the time and you’ll be walking around like a My Little-Pony Edward Scissorhands hybrid for the rest of your life. When I saw that she stole Dean’s tie clip and then proceeded to show up at Heat Haven, I knew she was a woman after my own twisted heart.

And then, Dean’s second packmate, Grayson immediately becomes protective of her and wants to take care of her, and he instantly shows that she’s cared for. The captivating Alphas, their Beta bodyguard, and gorgeous but broken male Omega stand for everything that I’m fighting against. I know this isn't PNR, but Omegaverse has some shifter qualities without the shifting, and I often find I have a hard time getting onto PNR because its on the cheesy side. The FLAME Pack contains three M/M contemporary MPREG novellas about omega dragon shifters desperately in heat for a hunky alpha!Liv’s obsession with him only grew when she perfumed as an Omega and his Alpha scent became her own personal addiction. I should have been…but when I wake up in an odd realm with only Anani and Azrael to tether me to reality, I realize that this may not be the end. For some reason they take an interest in me and it’s impossible to avoid them since we work together. She never tells him and despite him wanting to know and asking every once in a while up until that point, he suddenly stops. Handsome and mysterious, he swoops in to offer me a new life, but this is no knight in shining armor.

I can't put my finger on every reason this is but two glaringly obvious issues stood out: very short sentences stacked on top of each other and hesitancy to use contractions (particularly in dialogue).It’s not a perfect book, and parts of the story could have been fleshed out, but I’m honestly not even mad that things were glossed over. Unlike other Omegaverse books I’ve read, all of the characters feel different and have very distinct personalities making them all feel special.
