About this deal

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The founder Masataka Taketsuru chose Yoichi in Hokkaido because of the similar environmental conditions to Scotland.

You will defend (at our option), indemnify and hold harmless us and our parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, (sub)licensees, assignees, successors, authorized third party contractors from any and all loss, damage, claim, liability or expense (including reasonable outside legal fees and costs) actually incurred as a result of a third party claim arising out of a breach or alleged breach of your obligations, representations and warranties made herein. The northern island of Hokkaido is where Taketsuru came across the ideal site for the construction of Yoichi. Yoichi single malt has pleasant peaty notes and smokiness originating from the traditional direct coal-fired distillation.

This wonderful expression of Nikka Yoichi has been made using aromatic yeasts that encourage the development of a fruity, floral character, with prominent notes of tulip, plum and white grape complimenting the peaty, earthy backbone of the whisky. The founder Masataka Taketsuru chose the town of Yoichi in Hokkaido because of the similar environmental conditions to Scotland, where he learned whisky-making. This expression is comprised solely of unpeated malts as opposed to the preconceived “peaty” image of Yoichi. Please always read the labels, warnings, and directions provided with the product before using or consuming a product.Further, you shall not circumvent, remove, alter, deactivate, degrade or thwart any of the content protections, decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble the Service and any software related to or used in or by the Service. With expansion over the years a second distillery (the Miyagikyo Distillery) was added near the city of Sendai in the north of Honshu. Yoichi (in Hokkaido) was chosen because of it was deemed to be similar in climate to Scotland, where Nikka’s founder Masataka Taketsuru trained.
