About this deal

Told in a modern-day Olympus, Persephone is new to Olympus and is dragged to a party by her new roomie, Artemis. Again, this may be due to the fact that this has been miscategorized as something someone who enjoys regular comics would want to read. Hera: She's funny and witty and I love how protective she is of Persephone 🥺 I want more of her and Zeus since they both look so adorable in this!

The men have upper bodies like upside down triangles, necks as thick as their heads, and pointy noses.Experience the propulsive love story of two Greek gods—Hades and Persephone—brought to life with lavish artwork and an irresistible contemporary voice. They talk (and fliiiirrt) and soon it becomes clear Persephone is equally smitten with the king of the dead. He de admitir que poco sabía de este Webtoon, pero, ¿siendo un primer libro no debería comprenderlo? It's paced as a soap opera, all drawn-out tensions and long-simmering secrets, and I, for one, am thrilled to be along for the ride. It’s all fast cars, high fashion, and rich folks with too much time on their hands and a complete lack of fucks to give about anyone other than themselves, and I’m here for it.

She grew up living a rather sheltered life with an overprotective mother (Demeter), who has only allowed her to come to the city because she's on a scholarship from the Goddesses of Eternal Maidenhood, meaning she has to remain a sacred virgin. I could not put this graphic novel down and cannot wait to see more of Persephone and Hades--and the rest of the Lore Olympus pantheon. Though I was dubious about how it’s look in book form and read about the issues people in the US were having with their copies (upside down books, misprints and broken spines) mine arrived perfectly and is absolutely gorgeous. Naive sunshine girl and grumpy older guy is a hard ship to sell me on, especially since this has a pretty big age gap. Ho trovato incredibile come sia stato semplice sentirmi trascinare da questa storia d'amore nonostante ci abbia messo meno di un'ora a leggere tutto.Already a word-of-mouth sensation online, Rachel Smythe’s smart, sexy, Eisner Award-winning webcomic gets its welcome print debut, bringing readers the first volume of her modern take on the Persephone myth. What Scott Pilgrim did for Canadian slackers, Lore Olympus does for the Greek pantheon, while being so beautiful that you know Aphrodite is just staring daggers in its direction.

I am a sucker for mythology retellings and this is a great one with Hades and Persephone beginning a romance against all odds. The main characters, Persephone and Hades, don’t have much depth to them, but their relationship is pretty adorable.Even though the legend of Hades and Persephone is thousands of years old, you will fall in love with these characters in a whole new way - and you'll never see the twists and turns coming! There's a distinct lack of characterisation, which is actually quite a feat, what with the endless conversations. I loved the plot as it is the modern retelling of greek myths and the way the author draw the characters in this is just so unique, stylish and perfect.

Apollo is taken aback by Persephone's beauty and proceeds to be a total condescending and controlling asshole, freaking wakes her up in the middle of the night and freaken rapes her and takes pictures of it and yeah obviously I hate him. sorry but minthe might be my fav character 🏃🏽‍♀️ i think she's a great example of how well-rounded the writing is. I started this last year but couldn't read more than 5 episodes and thanks to Lila (you're the best🥹🫶) whose review made me try this again and Lila guess what? Now Persephone must navigate the confusing politics and relationships that rule Olympus, while also figuring out her own place--and her own power. Even if you don't know a whole lot about Greek mythology, I would still give this a shot, the art is wonderful, it's super adorable and hilarious, but also a beautiful and powerful story about dealing with trauma and finding your place in the world.Upon hearing this, Aphrodite gets Persephone very drunk and puts her in the back of Hades' car, to teach her a lesson for "smiting the goddess of beauty. The Gods get a Kardashian type makeover, the characters are all rich, entitled and vapid for the most part.
