Kenzo Jungle Elephant Eau de Parfum for Women 100 ml

This is a fragrance has presence and commands respect- in the way being around an elephant does, I imagine. For sure this is a legendary perfume, a classic that you need to acknowledge if you are into olfactory world. I’m not sure if other people overspray, of if the juice will become a lot more intense over time, but this was definitely not a one spray result.

I was reluctant about the cumin and caraway, but it's skillfully balanced with cardamom and floral notes. And i just wondered if the spices were that intense and overpowering already in 25 degrees (or 77 fahrenheit), how would I ever wear this in colder weather? Sadly the second is my case, I am being worn by it, desperately trying to survive on an Elephant rodeo. Unfortunately, what I got instead is an elephant, trumpeting loud as she's munching on cardamom seeds and letting huge chunks of thick vanilla custard slide down her massive throat.

There is also, as someone else mentioned, this very slight medicinal quality in it that could have been disastrous had it been overdone. I am more into niche / luxury fragrances and if I had not been recommended that fragrance by another Fragrantica user, I would have never tried it. As I smell this, I am finally getting into the holiday spirit, which has been late coming to me for some reason this year. Cardamom is a favorite note and cumin reminds me of childhood (mom's cooking), so perhaps I'm more inclined to like it. I'd been putting off trying this bc I was worried it might be too in-your-face, overwhelming, and suffocating, but after finally taking the plunge, I'm so happy I got this.

It then very quickly warmed up and settled in as a smooth, exotic blend - with never a sharp note, never an off note - that really blew me away.She was a wonderful woman and though she has been gone for more than 33 years I still miss her and think of her every day. As for the notes and how it smells its something I can't really describe, probably the most unique vanilla scent I've smelt.

It’s actually growing on me, I’ve gotten into warm spicy and amber fragrances lately, I hardly wear any ‘freshies’ anymore. Read about this perfume in other languages: Deutsch, Español, Français, Čeština, Italiano, Русский, Polski, Português, Ελληνικά, 汉语, Nederlands, Srpski, Română, العربية, Українська, Монгол, עברית. I couldn’t detect anything floral in it before, and now I notice golden, syrupy ylang-ylang playing hide and seek with all the spices.Some had that grandpa old-timer aftershave drydown (FM Noir Epices) which again- is great for men perhaps. The fragrance is a mix of spicy clove and sweet licorice, I was surprised that cinnamon isn't listed. As Kenzo was surely aware, the elephant isn't celebrated nearly as often as the big cats in the perfume world.
