About this deal

Overall a very good quality service from this seller and I would not hesitate to recommend this seller.

Fleabag, episode 4 review: another superb, poignant episode that was both shocking and shockingly good". okay fleabag is my absolute favorite show ever and i actually think i enjoyed reading it more than watching it. I love the concept of Fleabag letting the audience peek into her world as she speaks to them throughout different scenarios in her life until she realizes they’re seeing too much into the ugliness of both her personality and current situation.

It's really refreshing to read something that addresses parts and experiences of life that are so cotidian yet slightly taboo and unspoken of- Brilliant. It won a Fringe First Award in Edinburgh, the Most Promising New Playwright and Best Female Performance at the Off West End Theatre Awards, The Stage Award for Best Solo Performer and the Critics’ Circle Award for Most Promising Playwright. A short play, easily read in half an hour, but one that feels like a kick to the chest that will stay with you for a while. Fleabag premiered at the 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, performed by Phoebe herself, before transferring to Soho Theatre, London, for the first of several successful runs, followed by UK and international tours, a sold-out run in New York and a West End run in 2019. I don't think there has ever been a show that dominated the pop culture conversation and captured the nation's hearts quite like Fleabag.

The paperback version does not include Phoebe Waller-Bridge's notes and acknowledgements, nor does it include Isobel Waller Bridge's score. I dropped one star because I thought that some of the jokes were a bit cheesy, but overall Fleabag is fresh, relentless and innovative, esp. The scripts are written with such precise technical skill that it is a pleasure and an education to see their workings . Now recognized as one of today’s most essential voices, she delivers powerful insights into her now-iconic protagonist: the hilarious, emotionally damaged, sexually unapologetic woman who can make viewers laugh, cry, and cringe in a single scene. As Matthew Neale pointed out in NME, this is somewhat ironic, because Fleabag is seen masturbating to one of Obama's speeches in the pilot of the show.Sian Clifford stars as Fleabag's sister Claire, while Andrew Scott joined the cast in the second series as 'The Priest'. I was a bit disappointed only by the lack of any additional notes (there's only 5 or so pages that feel more like acknowledgements at the end of the book). Hannah Jane Parkinson of The Guardian described the conclusion as "the most electrifying, devastating TV in years", writing of the second series that "it seems as though many who either did not watch the first series, or who didn't think it lived up to the hype, have been converted".
