However, if you’re unable to turn the baseplate enough for these to be seen then we can offer an alternative baseplate. The smoke detectors are designed to update many installations with existing FireAngel devices - making them perfect for replacing ST-622 and ST-620 smoke detectors you may have already installed. Offering additional protection during the night, the extra bright light (available only with FA6611-R) offers a powerful visual beam to guide your way to safety – making it perfect for landings, hallways and bedrooms. You may find the baseplate for your alarm is a little snug, which means it will need extra force to secure when fixing to the alarm.For the fastest detection of fire we recommend you install a smoke alarm in the circulation space on each level of the home (hallway and landing) as well as in living spaces and bedrooms. The FireAngel FA6120, 10 year sealed for life battery powered smoke alarm features an optical sensor which detects slow smouldering fires.

The replacement alarm, FireAngel FA6120-INT is designed to be a straightforward replacement and use the base plate from its previous model without the requirement for any DIY or decorating.
