About this deal

Similarly to Fuji the advent of digital photography at the turn of the century caused significant financial problems. Original Ektar film (1989 to 1997) started as a colour 35mm and 120 “semi-professional film”, designed to offer ultra-fine grain. The downside is that if you underexpose the image, the colors can turn muddy and if you overexpose the image, the colors give off a more pastel and washed out vibe. Especially when you consider I was losing daylight by the time I shot that, hence why I was looking for something to shoot with a wider aperture.

I could tell the colors were going to be something I was not used to, but to be honest, I was ready for something brand new. com/sweet-city-bruges/, there is a mix between Portra and digital files, but I do like the portra shots here very much. However, for the general film photographer, I think either Kodak Gold 200, Kodak ColorPlus 200, Kodak Ultramax 400, and even Kodak Portra 400 are better values. Iconic Bondi Beach in Sydney, showing the strength of Ektar's blue-green hues Leica M4, Zeiss Sonnar 50 1. It’s now my go-to film, especially easy to love, since it costs less than the most popular films (even if just a little bit less).

As I reviewed the pictures taken farther inland, I noticed Ektar always seems to render the sky beautifully. I heard that February is a gloomy month in France, so I'm leaning more toward embracing the desaturated tones of Portra 400. Shooting situations may change how elgar behaves, and sometimes in the studio my strobes like to give it magenta cast with saturated greens and yellow, and somehow Ektar still looks like a cool toned film. In contrast to the branding from other lens-makers, Kodak emphasized that the name was a quality mark rather than referring to any particular optical formula.

I used this film in a basic point and shoot (mainly to test if my old camera was still working) and I absolutely loved how the pictures came out! Underexposure is not the problem as I see this even in broad daylight shots (again – as shown in the author’s article). However with the shots that are taken before sunrise Ektar helps to bring out the very subtle colours.
