No longer reminded me of Eau Premiere though, but smelled like the older version of Givenchy L'Interdit. It opens with the typical aldehydes and wasn't so great for a few minutes, then it developed into a pretty powdery floral.

Its an old fashion perfume, and I am older so its great for me, and as it isn't expensive I can use it all day when I want too, Not that it's only for old ladies, because most of the compliments I get is from younger girls, and my grand-Daughter uses it she is a teen. And of course, it reminds me of how my mother used to smell wearing the dusting powder, which brings back a lot of good memories. They mention that it has a beautiful smell, it lingers for a very long time and that its a good daytime perfume.I don't know L'Heure Bleu or Baghari, the other two fragrances it has been compared to, so for me Chanel No5 is the only reference. It's incredibly comforting when i smell it because it's like the essence of her captured in a bottle. Imagine falling down the rabbit hole and emerging in the 1890s into an opulent room resplendent with art nouveau furnishings, peacock feathers, and a decant of laudanum on the bedstead.

This goes with pink or carnation, beige or baby blue satin or velvet dresses and gowns, tiaras, rose bouquets. I like it better though some how, but to me it is very very similar, at least the vintage original version which I am testing now. I love coty l'aimant one of my faves…I first smelt when I was around 15 and I wore it and I didn’t care because I smelt expensive lol it’s like Chanel no. It should be presented in lovely bottle and relaunch together with other timeless creations of monsieur Coty, as L'Origan, La Rose Jaqueminot and Emeraude.They function similar to the way trippy drugs remove the lid on the mind, the core, which soar up and out. I should have made this point on my Emeraude review, but failed to do so – both of these fragrances become more noticeably powdery when sprayed from a decant bottle. Once they kick in they start to smell like the floral arrangement in the heart of L'air du Temps as well as Arpege. The first day I tried this one (newly blindbought) I thought the sharp aldehydes burned my nose, and I was quite disappointed, regarding all the good reviews I had read about it.

The differences are indeed minimal and one has to be actively looking for them, well on my skin anyway they are very close. The scent evolves from florals to a musky base but for me it's not terribly musky nor even animalic or mature. My package containing L'Aimant arrived at the end of a family dinner, and I eagerly opened it and passed it around at the table.
