About this deal

The mix of rose gold accents and black pulls the watch more towards a business-casual sports watch design, not by forcing a formal element, but rather by feeling adult, for lack of a better term. Its polished also but has sharp edges that maximize grip rather than the softer edges of the coin bezel.

With 80 hours of power reserve and a local-jumping GMT function that also adjusts the date to your new timezone, the C07. There are likely watches with similar specs for less, though I doubt they’d compete on finish quality. So it might not be the most originally styled dive watch out there, but it’s still a well-done watch.I’d describe the color as a matte milky blue, and yes, there’s a gradient but not in an annoying way. Though your phone will likely connect almost anywhere in the world, nothing beats adjusting the jumping hour hand on a GMT mere moments after you feel the wheels touch down far away from home. The clasp on the Ocean Star is also a bit finicky to adjust and close, but it does feel very safe when it’s closed.

When this movement came out, I may have felt it was a gimmick, especially for people like me who rotates watches often. You can almost read the watch looking at it totally horizontal, which I found harder to do with the big Plexi on the Hydra. The ocean’s depths prove no obstacle as titanium is particularly resistant to seawater and does not corrode, allowing MIDO’s creations to withstand the toughest conditions. Watches of Mayfair is not an official dealer for any of the watch brands we sell and has no affiliation with the manufacturer. Bracelet construction is very good overall, with a comfortable, classic-looking three-link bracelet that, as I said, benefits from some edge polishing.

Ceramic is a non-metallic mineral material that undergoes a specific treatment in a high-temperature environment. It was a few years ago that I first noticed the Ocean Star watch in titanium when meeting with the brand. The Caliber 80 from MIDO is a next-generation automatic watch movement which offers up to 80 hours of power reserve, twice as much as a regular calibre. This is the kind of watch you saw on a hairy, wet wrist in watch ads of the era and I think Mido brought a great package here that works with the case to harken back to those days.It also offers a power reserve of up to 80 hours, which makes the automatic movement essential for modern watches. Additionally, the movement in the Ocean Star is Elaboré-grade with a NIVAFLEX NM mainspring, ELINCHRON II balance-spring and it has been adjusted in three positions. If your card is cancelled you will immediately pay us all the remaining payments when we ask you to. The two remaining payments will also be taken from your card 30 and 60 days after the first payment is taken. They make it a little harder to get a hold of the crown, but that’s something you get used to, and they help keep the crown safe.
