About this deal

If the Ember Mug has been upside down or moved around a lot, there can be some pressure build up and some tiny droplets of liquid can fly upward a bit when you press down on the lid. You'll either be able to track the Ember Mug or it will show its last known location so you can figure out where it's at. Unlike the other smart mug, the VSIToo, you could also set the Ember to exactly the temperature you want (along with its app constantly disconnecting every time I entered a different room, the VSIToo only allows you to tweak the temperature in nine-degree increments).

as real users, posing a threat to a site’s security, so the site sometimes runs random security checks. You can add the Ember Mug to the Items tab in the ‌Find My‌ app, where it can be tracked just like an AirTag. The ionMug looked remarkably like many of the high-end mugs, with a matte black finish and a digital interface. MacRumors attracts a broad audience of both consumers and professionals interested in the latest technologies and products. Most of the big changes will only impact EU users, but there are also updates in the operating system that are available worldwide.

Our largest mug yet, the 16 oz Tumbler allows you to set an exact drinking temperature and keeps it there for up to 3 hours, so your coffee is never too hot, or too cold.

If you're using it at a desk, it's handy to have it on the charger for all-day heat, and the option to grab it and go when necessary is useful. I noticed a few times that when I wasn’t keeping it on the charging pad, my coffee seemed to get cold even faster than with my usual travel mug. With a three-hour battery (or all day when placed on a charging coaster), you can enjoy your drink during that morning commute or a lazy Sunday morning. While I don't drink coffee, I do drink tea, and because I drink green, oolong, and white varieties, I'm fairly well-versed on beverage temperatures. He reminded me that many people are likely using these kinds of mugs at work, but I countered with the fact that a travel mug can still be enjoyed at an office, while a regular mug with a handle can’t go on the road or fit into a car mug carrier.

And a quality ss mug often tolerates the bounce off the top of the car (my contigo mug from Peet's Coffee has survived several such adventures) and also the dishwasher. I’m not totally convinced that the battery won’t just fail after a few more uses (especially based on the reviews I read), but I couldn’t get it to that point during testing, so I can’t say for certain if the battery issues were due to poor craftsmanship or simply using the mug incorrectly. So I did some testing, comparing the battery-charged Tumbler to my batteryless but well-insulated Yeti Rambler. When I initially poured coffee into the Ember Travel, it gave me a reading of the coffee’s current temperature. Using the mug independently will limit you from customizing specific feature from the Ember mobile app such as adding a custom LED color or setting a specific preferred temperature between 120°F - 145°F.
