About this deal
Leeds, Britain born Eddie McGee was a notable worldwide endurance master as well as a previous armed force sergeant major and physical treatment teacher. On 24 June Prudom was stopped during a routine check in the Bickley area of Dalby Forest, approximately eight miles from Scarborough, by police dog handler PC Ken Oliver. McGee's tracking skills had been learned while living among Australia's indigenous aboriginal people and pygmy groups in Africa.
His extraordinary tracking abilities and proficiency with investigation methods were crucial in supporting law enforcement organizations and apprehending dangerous offenders. But it was perhaps the evidence given by the Johnson family that best offered an insight into Prudom’s rampage. From my perspective (and that of all others that I spoke to before I left the university) the session was great. But before the police marksmen opened fire, a gunshot rang out – triple murderer Prudom had killed himself.
Nonetheless, Eddie McGee’s spouse remains anonymous in public and is presumably leading a private life alongside her son. While Eddie McGee’s exact date of death is unknown, rumors and other sources suggest that he passed away from cancer. Prudom was only caught when a former SAS soldier and tracking expert, Eddie McGee, joined the police's efforts. Prudom died on July 4, 1982, after police, with the help of McGee, managed to track down his hideout. He came across the edge of a very blue polythene sheet, which was slightly out of place with the rest of it.
Serial killer Barry Prudom, dubbed the Phantom of the Forest, used SAS techniques to evade police during his violent rampage. He spent his early years in a terraced house at 39 Grosvenor Place, Leeds, and was educated at the local Blenheim Primary School and Meanwood Secondary School.
