Even though there are many interpretations of Christine's look, her white dressing gown, red and gold gown, and blue walking dress are the costumes she is best known for. We obviously did as much as we could but both our moms had to step in and correct things here and there, making sure everything fit properly. She is an extremely gifted singer and The Phantom of the Opera has been her favorite since she was a kid. Despite the variety of images of the chorus girl, her white coat, red and gold dress, and walking suit are the most popular outfits.

Plaster wrapping my head we got a very rough looking mask, I cut to the proper shape and layered it with wall putty which would let me sand some texture into the mask. Christine Daae is a chorus/ballerina who becomes the object of an obsession by the mysterious Phantom of the Opera, who kidnaps and drags her to his lair. This sequence itself differs noticeably between the stage show and the film, and the costumes are very different as well. I didn't follow the instructions for connecting the bodice to the skirt, I just sewed the two together. We take intellectual property concerns very seriously, but many of these problems can be resolved directly by the parties involved.When I found Emily's page, I was so happy to see that you could select custom sizing for the costume as it meant she would be able to cater for my curvy body! Interestingly, it is the most modest neckline I wear in the show (which I skillfully covered up in the first picture with my sheet music—oops! I understand her main character is a female, but it was considered a joke to society to essentially be transgender.

After I finished sanding it and everything I painted some gesso onto it to make it look white, and sprayed it with a matte finish.

I love these looks because they evoke comedic Mozart operas, which is actually how I got my start—I was contacted by a NY agent after my (small) role of Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro at Yale Opera my senior year of college.
