About this deal

I was using their Vitamin E moisturiser for years until I realised it was feeling more oily than comfortable and then I wandered and the rest is history! Out of all these butters, I’d only recommend Eve Lom, Clinique and, surprisingly, Lush, as they’re the only ones who don’t contain parfum and declarable fragrance components. I really wanted to like the sunscreen (since it’s so hard to find a decent physical one), but it goes on really shiny and it also has some shimmer in it. You can usually find it right in the very first spot of the ingredient list, meaning it’s the biggest thing out of all the stuff that makes up the product. As I said the cleanser rubbed into my skin effortlessly and didn't sting or irritate my very sensitive skin at all, I rubbed the cleanser all over my face including over my eyes to remove my make up.

Limonene's nr1 function is definitely being a fragrance component, but there are several studies showing that it's also a penetration enhancer, mainly for oil-loving components. The film effect is less pronounced after I use a cloth to wipe off, but definitely rinsing just isn’t enough. It doesn’t cause redness, it doesn’t egg on breakouts and it doesn’t leave skin with any potentially irritating film—it just does what it’s told.

I find this quite interesting, because when I place the product in the palm of my hand, it almost immediately starts to melt. Her mission on My Women Stuff is to deliver clear, honest reviews and facilitate discussions about beauty trends and life, tempered with a healthy dose of humour. Formulated for sensitive skin predominantly, it works just as well on my oily/combination skin (you might just want to follow it up with a second, more active cleanse in the evening). People often say that when it comes to skincare, you can save on cleansers, as they are on your skin for such a short time that spending a lot of money on amazing ingredients doesn’t make sense. They sell a lot of Russian skin care products and i do find them more agreeable and nicer to my skin.

We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. Anyone looking for an affordable, good, all-rounder balm cleanser, no plastic packaging and from a cruelty-free brand. To put it bluntly, I think cleansing balms should totally replace all other forms of makeup remover.

Another claim that I feel I have to point out is that this product is supposedly »suitable for sensitive skin« — it’s not. They also mention that it works great on sensitive skin and removes all make up, including waterproof mascara, with little rubbing. Ethylhexyl Palmitate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Synthetic Wax (Binder/Emollient), PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Olea Europaea Fruit Oil/Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil (Emollient), Butyrospermum Parkii Butter/Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter (Skin Conditioning Agent - Emollient), Caprylyl Glycol (Skin Conditioning Agent), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), Parfum/Fragrance (Fragrance), Aqua/Water (Solvent/Diluent), Linalool (Fragrance Ingredient), Limonene (Fragrance Ingredient), Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil/Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil (Emollient), Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract (Natural Additive), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster).I think a combination of that and the filmy residue (even after double cleansing with foaming face wash + face cloth) congested my face and gave me breakouts. In addition, as we give you the option to choose what best suits your needs from several sellers, you have the power to decide so you can make your purchase as you wish. It's for that reason a cleanser is my desert-island beauty product—and not just any cleanser either.

Here we can already see what makes this butter so problematic — it contains ethylhexyl palmitate, a derivative of palm oil that is used in »natural« skincare as a substitute for silicones, but can be clogging or irritating in high amounts (and it’s in the first place here), synthetic wax, and shea butter, which are all known to cause CCs on some skins. They have different names depending on countries but Physiogel series, Orion , Essex is very well known. You see, I test beauty products for a living, and I've dedicated my career to separating the wheat from the chaff when it comes to skincare. I take great delight in the way that cleansing balms glide over my skin with ease, and I yearn for the luxe slip of a balm when I’m without one.I don't know if it's just me but the Camomile Cleansing Butter seems to do just as good a job, I love the texture and the results (of course) and think it definitely lives up that 'Sumptuous' claim! It has quite a solid appearance in the tin - almost like hard candle wax or a slice of lard (anyone remember Trex? I really like the Antipodes one but I have to warn you that it doesn’t “wash” off like this or from what I understand, the Clinique one too. Overall is this product better suited for dry/combo-dry, non-problematic skin; acne-prones might want to use a cloth to remove it. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag.
