About this deal

It is also a work with many laugh-out-loud moments in addition to many touching ones that a lot of kids will definitely enjoy. It is an interesting graphic novel that many parents have asserted to be great for children between the ages of six and ten. This is a work that you can deal with your child well past bedtime and comes with plots that you can discuss with them later. James Smart had his first break working with comic book companies when he was contracted by SLG to pen the “Bear” comic book. There is a battle in progress that has to do with who will harness the Flember’s magical powers. The big question is will Boja and Dev be on the right side of the war?

He has now worked in both print and online writing digital works but still prefers print as a mode for transmitting his work. It is a work that will provide some happy memories and great talking points, even if there are many questions that are left unanswered.

The Maniacal Badger has arrived, and he's determined to take over the Woods! Wasn't that Monkey's plan? This cannot happen! What japes await in this brand-new adventure when Bunny and Monkey team up to beat this new menace?! Trapped on Earth, the stranger tries desperately to convince all and sundry she is ‘Actually Pig’, often assisted by typical distractions like marauding sprout-farting monster ‘Gruntulak!’ and a no-holds-barred campaign to elect ‘President Monkey’. It will make you and your kid feel sad/worried, make you laugh, and be very happy, particularly at the end of the story. Meanwhile and maybe later, Bunny experiences ‘Mossy Mayhem’ when Skunky’s latest experiment escapes, even as Metal E.V.E ponders astral reality and rashly asks her friend to explain ‘Pig Science’…

In “The Glowing Skull,” Dev and BOJA his best friend make a return in what is an interesting adventure in Prospertu, a mega modern and high-tech city. His “Fish-Head Steve” comic would make history when it made the shortlist for the Roald Dhl Funny Prize. Over the years, Smart has illustrated comics for the likes of “Toxic magazine,” the “Sunday Times,” “The Beano,” and “The Dandy.” Here – with artistic assistance from design deputy Sammy Borras – the war of nerves and mega-ordnances resumes even though everybody thought all the battles had ended. They even seemingly forgot the ever-encroaching Hyoomanz…It was also his parents who encouraged him to attend art college which gave him a lot of freedom that he needed to become the excellent comic book author that he is today. Problems are exacerbated by other unconventional Crinkle creatures, particularly the skunk called Skunky who has a mad scientist’s intellect and attitude to life plus a propensity for building extremely dangerous robots, bio-beasts and sundry other super-weapons… James Smart’s novel “The Crystal Caves” continues to follow DEV the Boy-Inventor and BOJA his best friend who have stumbled upon a secret map. Jamie Smart is a very popular comics author from the United Kingdom that is best known for the “Flember” series of novels. This work just like the debut is great for children between the ages of 6 and 10. Many parents have reported that their children were totally immersed and enjoyed reading the work.

One immediate success goes unnoticed as those worthy stalwarts debate ways to get hapless Pig out of a giant pit before finding the ‘Tunnels’ the sweet simpleton used to get there in the first place… Writing “Bear” was probably his most personal and exciting moment. However, his proudest work has to be when he published “Find Chaffy,” his children’s book, and when he was contracted to write the weekly “Bunny vs Monkey” for The Phoenix. Similar to many artists, James Smart has been doing comics ever since he was old enough to hold a pencil and has never stopped. He was very fortunate that he was born to very supportive parents who early on realized that he was fascinated with comics. Elsewhere, as Metal Steve and Metal E.V.E hold a private contest to decide the best automaton in ‘Who Will Win the War of the Robots’, Skunky’s clumsiness triggers a crop of carnivorous blooms in ‘Chomp!’ Then, as Monkey’s alter ego “Captain Explosives” accidentally uncovers a crop of chronal crystals in ‘Time and Again’ Skunky makes his greatest breakthrough: a remote control for existence with a ‘Freeze Frame’ able to warp and rewind reality… James believes that the ideal world is one in which digital and print will coexist, even if they are two parts of the whole.

He loves to say that while he went to college to study art, he only did it so that he could have an excuse to draw animals with weird eyes.

He feels that print is akin to holding something such as a CD as opposed to flipping through several hundred songs on a smartphone or computer. He believes with print it is possible to come up with something that people can treasure for decades. Meanwhile, Monkey has been messing with elemental forces and turned the woods into an ‘Expressionistic’ nightmare, before losing patience and challenging Bunny to a duel of ‘Brain Power’. After winning by cheating, the ape learns a painful lesson that is only the beginning of his woes as ‘Double Bunny’ sees a doppelganger emerge who will change the status quo in appalling ways… Once the Great Woodland Bake-off inevitably culminates in ‘Cakes and Bruises’ Monkey use a superstrength serum unwisely. As his bones mend he has a Damascus moment: deducing that being a ‘Good Monkey’ might be less harmful. He gives nobility a go… but it too doesn’t end well… It was in 2002 that he sent them four different comic strip ideas and they went with Bear which they felt was the right fit. Being given the freedom to pen and do whatever he wanted with his comic was one of the biggest milestones of his career. Going to college allowed him to tap into the mental space so that he could better explore and put out some very innovative works.

Lost and distraught Bunny undertakes a mission for Skunky into the bowels of the earth in search of ‘Long-Lost Flopsy’. Guess how that ends… He has also regularly published his popular “Looshkin” and “Bunny vs Monkey” stories in The Phoenix comic in addition to several children’s graphic novels. James Smart also got inspiration from reading comics and graphic novels as a child growing up. As a child, he loved reading a wide variety of comics such as “Whizzer And Chips,” “Buster,” “Topper,” “Beano,” and “Dandy.” It makes for amazing work with a good story and interesting characters that also combine sad moments with some hilarious jokes that set up perfectly for the following titles in the series. On the other hand, he believes digital comics can also be rewarding as the canvas on which one can create is infinite and will only improve and evolve over time.
