EMS stands for ‘English Market Selection’ and is a term that has been used in Cuba for over a century to identify the quality of cigars designated for the British market. Black Tears is crafted from a base of dry silver rum that is aged in cask and infused with coffee beans, cacao and aji dulce peppers. It is made using the finest Cuban rum and natural spices, including the Cuban pepper, coffee, and cocoa. This is the end result of 10 years of hard work trying to get an agreement in place to produce fine rum from bureaucrats in Cuba.
