About this deal

It can not be denied that the idea for the top note so also a limited edition shower gel could have sprung. But Miyake manages to prevent drifting into an unpleasant artificiality. Aromatic spicy blends generally exude a freshy-coolness as the herbaceous components intermingle with stronger spicy notes. When this particular product is first applied, fruity aroma and lemon come to the fore. Next the heart of woody notes takes the stage. As this fades away, it exposes the base of amber. Issey Miyake Fragrances: Pricing I own Fusion d'Issey which I really enjoy, it is a very nice fragrance but not quite 'great' so, to me Fusion d'Issey Extreme was an opportunity for Issey to take that extra step into greatness.

I have a feeling that in another twenty years time, we may still be wearing and talking about L’Eau D’Issey Pour Homme. But I’ll be surprised if that turns out to be the case with Fusion. It will certainly not clear any awards but if the offered fits into your own Beuteschema one is well (and unfortunately somewhat light) entertained. The journey from L’Eau D’Issey Pour Homme to the subject of today’s review – Fusion D’Issey– is probably as neat a summary as we’re likely to get of what’s happened to ‘masculine’ perfumery in the last thirty or so years. Loathe it if you wish, but you’d be hard pressed to deny that the former – composed by Jacques Cavallier– is a landmark of modern scent creation. I had the pleasure of returning to it recently, and I was so pleased to be reminded of how excellent it is. The glass-like coolness of the citrus-aldehydic opening. That downright strange, yet reassuring, flinty-mineralic cleanliness of the heart. And then the ethereal, paper-thin woods of the drydown. Their overall effect remains so heart-stoppingly recognisable, so confident, so articulate. Who says that quality scents have to be expensive? Issey Miyake Fusion D'Issey is an exception to this rule. It was introduced to the world in 2020. Sometimes called aromatic water, eau de toilettes, such as this one, are more diluted than EdPs and thus provide a briefer "staying time" of between 2-3 hours. Because they are light, they are a customary choice for daytime wear. A Symphonic Composition

Nathalie Lorson, Master Perfumer, composed Fusion d'Issey Extrême by adding a new spicy facet to this solar fern fragrance. An interplay of contrasts – between the intense freshness of the deep currents and the heat of magma – is pushed to extremes. A wash of freshness comes from spicy notes of cardamom combined with the zesty scent of bergamot. Between strength and balance, the aroma of peppermint mingles with the verticality of the profound mineral solar accord that is the signature of Fusion d'Issey. Underlying all of this is a unique union of sandalwood and patchouli essences.A new intensity, born at the heart of nature in fusion. Fusion d'Issey Extrême is a new masculine fragrance that entices us to discover an entirely unexpected nature, emerging from the watery depths where contrasts between strength and freshness are pushed to extremes. Nice scent progression, which brings variety but still has potential in durability and intensity. The does not remain long in the memory but you can "reinziehen"

Despite shower association, I find The combination of citrus, coconut and fig very appealing and can imagine that Fusion will find its fans in the summer. However, somewhere along the line, things changed. Priorities were re-calibrated. Power lines shifted. And we’ve ended up in a place where the brand that once gave us L’Eau D’Issey now tries to tempt us with Fusion D’Issey. Let me make one thing clear: this is not a bad perfume. It comes nowhere near the depths of, say, the execrable Versace Eros, or the equally amoebic Paco Rabanne Invictus. It’s a passable piece of work. But that’s part of the point I’m trying to make. To be fair I just got my bottle and I haven't worn it yet, I just sprayed it on my wrist but my first impression is: this is pretty much just Fusion d'Issey in a nicer bottle (a little nicer for that matter since it's the same but with a blue hue instead of a green one). Was I expecting a massive variation from a flanker? No, not really however all the Nuit d'Issey flankers have their own personality even though they have the same dna. Pulse of the Night is not really that similar to Noir Argent, right? L'Eau Bleue d'Issey Eau Fraiche sure has a nice twist in the L'Eau Bleue formula so considering the Fig note was removed from Fusion d'Issey Extreme (Fig was a very strong note in the original) and some other tweaks like ambroxan which is no longer listed as a note and the addition of mineral and solar notes (according to fragrantica) I expected something a bit new but instead the only slight difference I found from that first spray is a more noticeable Cardamom in the opening but it was fleeting. The other day my girlfriend suggested, for environmental reasons but times with the subway to düsen in the city.
