Thin bonding enables the attachment of different substrates or composites using a strong but very thin tape to keep the overall profile as thin as possible.

A strong adhesive on the top side of NEC Tape (the side exposed as the release liner is removed) provides a firm hold onto a wide range or carpets and floors coverings. Once the tape has been pressed down into position, the non-stick backing can be removed, revealing a green high-tack adhesive which partially coats approximately 80% of the PVC backing.It’s an acrylic adhesive on a polycoated kraft paper liner and polyester film carrier that can be used in industries from commercial printing, and medical labelling, to applications such as affixing to temporary positioning. These double coated tapes feature a permanent adhesive on the face side and a removable repositionable adhesive on the back side of the tape.

Tapes also reduce product bulk both by removing mechanical fasteners and allowing the use of thinner, lighter materials by evenly distributing stress across the bond. Drying times all depend on the ambient temperature of the room and also the surface on which it is being laid but you must always ensure it has gone completely transparent before laying any carpet tiles on top.
