It then continues at a bit over 2000 lumens until the two-hour mark, and then fairly rapidly drops off to zero. Even with 12,000mAh behind it, this is fairly unsurprising – the sheer output needed for this light in turbo is incredible. By and large, the MS06 is quite smooth. The knurling on the body isn’t aggressive, and the raised squares themselves will provide more grip. The heat sinking fins are a right-angle cut and can dig in a little, but not painfully so. That said, you won’t want your hand on them for very long, anyway… Please fully charge it before turning it on. Charge the flashlight only with the supplied USB magnetic charging cable. The flashlight is rechargeable via a magnetic charging port on the side of the torch, for fast and convenient recharging without having to remove the batteries or use a separate external charger. The output numbers show that the light is very efficiently regulated. The output regulation shows a constant output and shows a very efficient output for at least 2 hours. For reference, a regular 55W halogen car headlight bulb emits 1200 Lumen. In contrast, a 35 W Xenon headlight emits approximately 3200 Lumens, so you will have a lot of light available when you need it, and you can blind someone with this light. What you’ll get: IMALENT MR90 - This high-powered dual-beam flashlight has a maximum output of 50,000 Lumens and features both flood light LEDs and spotlight LED for different kinds of situation. For most of us, flashlights are for night walks and this is where the MS06 is actually quite practical. It can maintain 4000 lumens for over 2 hours! That’s a long walk!
The central body of the IMALENT MS06 has an anti-slip knurling with a fine texture that allows a discreet grip even with wet hands such as in case of rain. Unscrewing the torch body we find the numerous well-lubricated threads and the water and dust seal O-ring. Lux Meter: For lumen readings and runtimes, an Adafruit TSL2591 connected to a Raspberry Pi running Ubuntu, using RuTiTe by bmengineer in a custom sphere (build document coming soon, when I have some more time). A UNI-T UT383S is used for candela readings. An Adafruit MCP9808 rounds out the list for temperature monitoring.There’s PWM I can see with my camera, but not with my eyes. So while it’s there, it’s not an issue at all. This light is an absolute beast in can-size. I don’t find the experience taking the cells in and out to be all that great, but if you’re going to leave the cells in then that won’t be a concern. The output is just incredible.
