I’m considering getting one of these to use as a performance effects controller, dub delays/filter/reverb, and was wondering how well the acceleration works for fine/coarse control of values in a live scenario?

I've just purely used this in a mixing context so far, so I hadn't really been pushing the limits of it. Go to Preferences > Controller Manager and select the Midi Fighter mapping in the Device drop down menu. Once this process finishes your device will reboot and the MF Utility will now show it has successfully updated the firmware! I still prefer the Twister, due to its knob spacing and of course the high level of customization with color coding and indicator tweaks. Compact and completely USB-powered, the Midi Fighter Twister is easy to fit into any gear bag and integrate into every work flow.

What you want to see is a continuous stream of increasing and decreasing CC values as you turn the knobs right or left. Last but not least, this extremely versatile controller even comes with an enormous library of pre-programmed MIDI mappings for controlling different programs. So I can move my Realearn/faderbox encoders and than have reaper's native midi link control given parameter with, which would give you no delay.

Looks like that will be very easy to do with the Mozaic knob template, so thanks for introducing me to it. The toggle switch to control the Douber mix - the maximum value of 127 was sent but the mix control on Maschine meant this was just under 50%. I guess it is possible to do with maschine but then only with some workarounds, additional plugins and dummy tracks. As far as I remember mpk motherboard is the size of the unit itself so you cannot just saw off the keyboard part and end up with a sleek and small knob unit. Plug in your Midi Fighter Twister via USB (not to a USB hub) and follow the onscreen instructions on the utility.
