About this deal

The Jewish outreach group Aish HaTorah employs Bible codes in their Discovery Seminars to persuade secular Jews of the divinity of the Torah, and to encourage them to trust in traditional Orthodox Jewish teachings. [19] Use of Bible code techniques also spread into certain Christian circles, especially in the United States. The main early proponents were Yakov Rambsel, who is a Messianic Jew, and Grant Jeffrey. Another Bible code technique was developed in 1997 by Dean Coombs (also Christian). Various pictograms are claimed to be formed by words and sentences using ELS. [20] The premise that something greater binds us all and it is encoded in each of us; and the code deciphered in Hebrew, is the name of god or the divine in Hebrew is interesting but not profound. There was something missing her for me. My gut did not ring this as true.

The conspiracy for banning some of the old Bible books was intended (p. 49) for a determinate purpose, what we don't know (even Braden doesn't venture it either; in this case it is more powerful the insinuation than the revelation). Obviously, we don't have evidences of that hidden purpose. The majority of scholarly opinion holds that, in the days of Moses, YHVH was pronounced 'Yah-Weigh'". Not to mention that we don't know which time was the Moses' time, there are no solid theories about how Moses spoke Hebrew... if he spoke Hebrew. We are not paying attention now to the very peculiar way to notate the pronounce. I was given this book as a gift and asked to comment on the contents. It's taken longer than I expected. There was too much Kabbalah for me; and way too much reductionist mathematics on which the central premise is built. Resulting from 12 years of research that crosses the traditional boundaries of science, history, spirituality and technology, the existence of the message in our cells reveals the following undeniable facts:

When God tells Moses that YHVH will be His name forever, the word is spelled differently - without the traditional "vav" in the centre. This is considered to indicate there is something hidden. (p122) Darwin's theory cannot be fully defended either since there are findings that directly contravene it, that are being covered up by the Darwinist faithful. It is their rigid adherence to their "faith" that is at fault crazy theories like this can see the light of day. Immanuel Velikovsky, for example, in the middle of the 20th century, published a theory of a series of world catastrophes caused by comets that caused cascading changes in the way the world, and the species, developed. His theory continues to be debated and mostly considered as controversial, but at least his books have the great value in pointing out serious unexplained gaps in Darwinism. Although the example shown uses English texts, Bible codes proponents usually use a Hebrew Bible text. Most Jewish proponents use only the Torah (Genesis–Deuteronomy), as it is believed to have been revealed directly to Moses. A remarkable discovery linking the biblical alphabets of Hebrew and Arabic to modern chemistry reveals that a lost code—a translatable alphabet—and a clue to the mystery of our origins has lived within us all along. Applying this discovery to the language of life—the familiar elements of hydrogen, nitrogen oxygen and carbon that form our DNA—may now be replaced with key letters of the ancient languages. In doing so, the code of all life is transformed into the words of a timeless message. Translated, the message reveals that the precise letters of God’s ancient name are encoded as the genetic information in every cell, of every life.

From their observations, MBBK created an alternative hypothesis to explain the "puzzle" of how the codes were discovered. MBBK's argument was not strictly mathematical, rather it asserted that the WRR authors and contributors had intentionally: Erlanger, Steven; Altman, Lawrence K. (September 8, 2005). The natural elements of life translate directly into a readable text message in our cells, including God’s ancient name. Then God exists because 95% of humans believe in it. This is the starting point of the book: we already know that God exists, and we are trying to demonstrate how It exists, not whether It exists or not. Palestinian leader Arafat dies at 75". CNN. There is the slim probability of .00042 percent that the letters YHVG would arrange themselves purely by chance". Yes, this is true. There is the same probability for four Hebraic letters will be chosen for forming a word. It's the same probability of 'corn' or 'blow' in English (actually, this is even more difficult because there are more letters in English language than in the Hebraic alphabet), and we don't consider corn a miracle or something exceptional. This is a complete non-sense, because letters don't combine in any language just randomly: we can't use probability for explaining language. Robert Aumann, a game theorist and winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2005, has followed the Bible code research and controversy for many years. He wrote: [37]

Of the many ways that we may define 'science' today, the American Heritage Dictionary suggests that 'any methodological, activity, discipline or study' is a science. Through this widely accepted definition..." (p. 95). It is hard to say what's the quality of the American Heritage for defining science upon it (not to mention that this is not its main definition, but the second one ( http://dictionary.reference.com/brows...)), but clearly that definition of science as everything is not a widely accepted one. Braden’s arguments only work if you are willing to accept a few ground rules. First you must believe there is a God, and only one God, and that he created humans (possibly by adding a secret ingredient to an ape). Then you must believe that of the many, many things he has been called in many, many languages, he prefers one of his several Hebrew names, and specifically prefers the 4-letter form YHVH of that name. Then you must accept Kabbalistic numerology and believe the ancient authors of Kabbalah literature knew the secrets of the universe. Madonna believes; why not you? There is no simple way to put it. This writer has taken a question and turned it into a formula that simply took me out of my seat once I was done reading it. Legend states that when King Solomon built his holy temple in Jerusalem, an ancient ritual took place, preceding even the laying of the first stone. Preserved through the traditions of the Masons today, that ritual involved the orientation and laying of one stone, the cornerstone, to which all other stones of the massive complex would eventually be oriented. It is told that the king placed one sheet of parchment within this cornerstone upon which he himself had inscribed a single name. Symbolically, the name anchoring the cornerstone of Jerusalem's Holy Temple would also become the name upon which King Solomon would base the leadership of his people, the power of his nation , and become the basis for one third of the earth's organised religions. That single name was the tetragrammaton YHVH, the timeless name of God. (p138) Population statistics from the 2000 are believed to be the most accurate in history, indicating that we share our world with approximately 6.2 billion of our kind. Of that number, nearly 95 percent, or 5.9 billion people, believe in the existence of a higher power or Supreme Being of some description. More than half of those people refer to this power as 'God'. These and similar statistics suggest that the question of our day may be less about whether or not we believe that God exists, and more about precisely what such a presence means in our lives" (p.43).

Since then the term "Bible codes" has been popularly used to refer specifically to information encrypted via this ELS method. Now, wait a minute. Wait a minute. This goes deeper. I wanna go deeper with this because I was teaching some preachers and said, "You don't let the crowd control the sermon". Away with that, away with that, away with that. The Word of God oughta come from within you, not controlled by you. You could sit there right now and be as evil as you choose to be, roll your eyes all while I'm preaching, text your girlfriend on the fifth row behind you, call me all kinds of names, and all while you textin', I'll be preaching all over top of your head because I refuse to allow your facial expression to control the glory of God that's coming out of me.
