The Jewish outreach group Aish HaTorah employs Bible codes in their Discovery Seminars to persuade secular Jews of the divinity of the Torah, and to encourage them to trust in traditional Orthodox Jewish teachings. [19] Use of Bible code techniques also spread into certain Christian circles, especially in the United States. The main early proponents were Yakov Rambsel, who is a Messianic Jew, and Grant Jeffrey. Another Bible code technique was developed in 1997 by Dean Coombs (also Christian). Various pictograms are claimed to be formed by words and sentences using ELS. [20] The premise that something greater binds us all and it is encoded in each of us; and the code deciphered in Hebrew, is the name of god or the divine in Hebrew is interesting but not profound. The conspiracy for banning some of the old Bible books was intended (p. 49) for a determinate purpose, what we don't know (even Braden doesn't venture it either; in this case it is more powerful the insinuation than the revelation). We are not paying attention now to the very peculiar way to notate the pronounce. I was given this book as a gift and asked to comment on the contents. It's taken longer than I expected. There was too much Kabbalah for me; and way too much reductionist mathematics on which the central premise is built. When God tells Moses that YHVH will be His name forever, the word is spelled differently - without the traditional "vav" in the centre. This is considered to indicate there is something hidden. (p122) Darwin's theory cannot be fully defended either since there are findings that directly contravene it, that are being covered up by the Darwinist faithful. Most Jewish proponents use only the Torah (Genesis–Deuteronomy), as it is believed to have been revealed directly to Moses. There is the same probability for four Hebraic letters will be chosen for forming a word. Of the many ways that we may define 'science' today, the American Heritage Dictionary suggests that 'any methodological, activity, discipline or study' is a science. Through this widely accepted definition..." (p. 95). It is hard to say what's the quality of the American Heritage for defining science upon it (not to mention that this is not its main definition, but the second one ( http://dictionary.reference.com/brows...)), but clearly that definition of science as everything is not a widely accepted one. Braden’s arguments only work if you are willing to accept a few ground rules. First you must believe there is a God, and only one God, and that he created humans (possibly by adding a secret ingredient to an ape). Then you must believe that of the many, many things he has been called in many, many languages, he prefers one of his several Hebrew names, and specifically prefers the 4-letter form YHVH of that name. Then you must accept Kabbalistic numerology and believe the ancient authors of Kabbalah literature knew the secrets of the universe. Madonna believes; why not you? There is no simple way to put it. This writer has taken a question and turned it into a formula that simply took me out of my seat once I was done reading it. Legend states that when King Solomon built his holy temple in Jerusalem, an ancient ritual took place, preceding even the laying of the first stone.
