About this deal

This should not be confused with ABL (Auto Brightness Limiter) though which is related to how the OLED panel handles the screens brightness of different images. You can use its Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture modes with either two HDMI sources or a combination of sources connected to HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C. The games I played on this were still sharp and detailed to be immersive, and honestly, that’s more than good enough for most gamers. Some room on the sides is required to fit the handles that slide out when you want to bend or unbend. In addition, we use some carefully selected 3rd party suppliers to help us enhance your online experience.

You’re still getting better relative blacks and contrast on this OLED (not to mention other benefits) compared with LCD technologies. Its near-instantaneous response time and low input lag at high refresh rates result in a smooth and responsive gaming experience.

Likewise a glossy panel coating on an LCD desktop monitor can help blacks “pop” and look deeper, in the right lighting conditions.

Clearly, the 3440x1440 is much more than enough to deliver excellent picture quality, even if its pixel density of 83 PPI may displease some gamers (95 to 110 PPI is usually ideal for gaming). There’s no height or swivel adjustments available here due to the screen size and bendable format, but we miss those a bit. It gets bright with small highlights to make them stand out against the rest of the image, but its overall HDR brightness is just decent, and not all highlights really stand out.CORSAIR iCUE software brings your entire setup together, creating a fully immersive ecosystem with intuitive control. Looking at that list of I/O ports, I expected full KVM support, but that’s a feature the Flex lacks, so while you can look at two sources side-by-side or one inside the other, you can only interact with the one you select as the main input source in the OSD menu.

The other USB-C port is an upstream port and also delivers power, and because it's limited to 15W, it's meant to charge small devices like headphones or peripherals. I've been testing productivity, creator, and gaming monitors for years, having reviewed them for different publications including some of TechRadar's sister site. There are bound to be some users who still prefer a glossy panel all the time, and perhaps you can control your lighting environment in other ways to reduce the impact and annoyance of reflections on a glossy screen. x % of PC monitors have that crap AG-coating or an inferior AR-coating (not nearly as good as those found on modern TVs), so no luck here. But we should think about the full context here and the alternative for a moment… Is matte or glossy better for OLED monitors? It wasn’t catastrophic and was limited to the rightmost 20%, but it does suggest that flexibility and ultimate accuracy are not the best bedfellows. However, it isn't the same as pulse-width modulation like on LED-backlit monitors because it isn't a full screen on and off, and you won't notice this flicker.
