About this deal

Amy seems like a supportive caring parent and there is no doubt the family all care for one another. But submission is not a word in Amy’s vocabulary and so she refused to capitulate to her greatest challenge. From one Mother to another, Amy you are a remarkable woman, and if at the end of my life I can look back with the pride and the memories you have with your family, I will be one happy woman! I picked this book for another August 'Bookshelf Raiders' read because of the fact I am a mother, and I hold the belief that no one loves or knows you as a mother does.If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site, and will not be able to monitor its performance. And what an insight into the family and definitely a good insight to why Amy's daughter is the way she is. I wanted to read this and as the proceeds are all going to good causes I felt good about reading it. While i dont think kate is innocent or has been willing to take responsibility i do feel for the amount of crap shes gotten unfairly and she is undoubtedly a strong woman.

The fact the proceeds of the book are going to charity demonstrates her selfless trait of always considering others before herself. I enjoyed this book a lot, it made me also see katie in a different light aswell, she is an amazing mum to harvey and as a mum to 2 disabled children I actually find her an inspiration. The people who spread abuse online need to read this and take a good look at themselves and how far they can truly push someone to the brink, which in turn affects the whole family unit. This book is a heartfelt account of a mother's love for her daughter (and both of her other children), and I really hope they all find peace and the future is brighter. It also confirmed what I always guessed - that Peter Andre is an absolute bell end - worth reading just for that !

This book certainly does, and Amy really doesn't hold back on her thoughts and opinions on her daughters life. As a grandparent to Katie’s son Harvey, Amy has also become a prolific campaigner for families of children with disabilities – but there was one battle she had to fight alone. Also with Amy having a health condition that I may well one day end up with I was interested to see how she is coping.I hope she one day reads up about these types of people and realises that their behaviour is on them, not her. Amy gave a balanced and honest viewpoint of everything in both hers and Katie's life, which was refreshing to read. Kate has been through so much and i can understand to some extent the walls she has put up due to the continued rejection and hurt shes faced, while its no secret she wanted to be famous and chose this life, this book also helps understand why she kept chasing things that didnt serve her.

I can not even begin to imagine how anyone deals with the fact they know they are going to die and have to prepare for such events. Her mother is a strong woman and I didn’t realise has undergone a lung transplant - I wish her all the best even though it is hard as she probably won’t recover but hope she can hang on longer now she has had the transplant. I sincerely hope that when the time comes Amy finds some peace, her worries over all her children and grandchildren are eased, and she is able to finally rest easy. I really feel for them all what an awful time they have had with the media, family they are meant to put their trust in, and in some instances, supposedly close friends. I knew I would like the book but I didn’t expect that it would be one of the best books I’ve ever listened too.

This book isn't biased and she really does give some of her family's life choices a good going over. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. Amy also contradicts herself on several occasions by blasting beahaviours in Katie's ex's that she previously stated that Katie herself did but later changes the record. A well written memoir and an in interesting insight into how fame can have such a far reaching impact on loved ones.
