The pace in the first half is good and a number of unsettling events occur, there’s a lot of suspicion in the Welsh retreat and a good puzzle to unlock.

I wasn't surprised by what happened to Jenna, but I didn't predict which people were involved and what their motives were. Tom’s wife Kate is determined to get their careers back on track so must ensure that this Soul Shrink retreat is a success - whatever it takes.The man behind the retreats, Tom Wade was recently released from prison after serving his sentence for the deaths of two people. did I tell you there were so many spooky supporting characters in this book act like innocent but keeping their own secret agendas to themselves? As we do not find out the circumstances of what actually happened until later in the book, I found myself warming to Tom although was constantly on my guard, looking for clues as to what it was that he was actually hiding. I recommend this story, especially to those who like discovering family secrets from years ago and complicated family relations. While I did eventually worked out how it would play out, it was still shocking and the explanation took me completely by surprise. Kate is Tom’s wife, a pushy woman who has stood by him throughout his time in prison and feels that he owes it to her to continue with his work. Firstly, that Tom would have been allowed to restart his business after two people died and a third disappeared at his last retreat. Another excellent gripping novel that will have you racing through the pages to find out what is going to happen.
