I also like when the protagonists don't fall in love at first sight and I love to see their love being built, that's what happened with jeremy and celicy The way these characters just bring out the best in each other and help each other battle their dem0ns and face them head-on...swooon 💗💗💗 Rina Kent's books happen in the same world, but with a slightly different timeline and therefore, many characters pop across different books. While I’m in love with Jeremy, I anticipated (and hoped) he’d be exactly how I thought he’d be. It’s Cecily that’s the real revelation. She’s not at all what she appears to be- in fact what many of friends assume her to be. Girl has buried parts of herself so deep, it’s going to take a true psycho to claw it out of her. I related so intensely to the vulnerable parts of this character- how she armors herself with intellect and stoicism, in caretaking for others. How she longs for something she fears she’ll never have. Her fears, her insecurities, her desperation for connection. Her heart just wants to be tethered, and it’s caused her to make mistakes and hide herself. She’s a devastatingly beautiful heroine. And I FLOVE Cecily's heart and soul so much- she’s so kind and good at her core. It’s not like he was courting me for a relationship or offering me some form of a fairy tale. It was a simple arrangement to satisfy both our needs, and I have no right to feel so hurt about it.Go in with an open mind, there are complications and unusual situations and complete and utter insanity. But these characters are magic together. Soul mates. The chemistry is mesmerizing- physically, emotionally, psychologically. HOly moly. Because in the deepest parts of them, their broken pieces match in a really unexpected way. More than any couple yet, it feels like two missing links. And Rina has so brilliantly connected the first and second generations in terms of who these characters are and the weight they carry. Weight they can’t truly unburden until they find the right person to help them carry it. These two liberate each other, steady each other. On their surface, their relationship is as toxic as they come- but underneath it their connection is really intimate and tender and sincere- edgy and dark, but sweet. Because they can be themselves with each other- their FULL selves. And the steamy times! YOWZERS. What can I say about Jeremy, my god so hot, I feel a connection with him as I saw him born and also his journey in his parenting book so watching him grow up is amazing. I loved his dirty mouth and seeing how much he is his father's clone. I love how rina makes the character start the devil and then he becomes the woman's dog, but not in an obvious and boring way

I had countless reactions reading this book, yes I screamed, I cried, I got angry, I smiled so much. Despite the TW, this was an incredible book! Both Jeremy and Cecily have such major mental challenges that became emotionally screwed, they over come everything in their way thanks to each other. The crazy sex is linked AF and their relationship was just as hot. Honestly everything else was perfect! If you are looking for over the top, psycho possessive, darkly swoony obsessive characters, holy moly MEET JEREMY. I AM LITERALLY OBSESSED WITH JEREMEY- I CLAIM IN NOW. I should have known, though, because Adrian is my all time favorite Rina Kent anti-hero, and Jeremy is cut from the same twistedly dreamy, manipulative, and controlling cloth that his father is. OF COURSE his son would come along and say "your favorite huh? here, hold my weapons, I'll prove you wrong." He's perfect, PERFECT. He's the dream psycho possessive caveman antihero. Like PSYCHO. But he also has so much soul and buried vulnerability, it somehow makes his over the top obsession even more magnetic and compelling- it gives it more depth, because it means a lot for Jeremy to act in this way. And that he only acts this way because his need for Cecily draws it out of him. It’s like his crazy behavior is the most toxically romantic expression of the depth of his heart. Because Rina paired all his intensity with so much genuine care- he’s got a bit of a bleeding heart. Oh, he's gonna take all the power and control, but he's also gonna woo you through it. The way he expresses his devotion- small acts of kindness, physical worship, gifts and meaningful moments- he’s literally, the swooniest pyscho ever. He's jealous of freaking AVA! Of manga characters! haha, I love him. The way I can't get enough of these and while Killian is deff a fav and in my top 5, I gotta say I'm love with Jeremy and his level of crazy ❤️‍🔥One thing I will say, Landon… I actually hate him and I’m annoyed that the next book is about him when I really want it to be about Eva and Eli!!! Eli and Ava, they are my favorite and most expected couple. I need them, my God, to know what happened, I missed Eli. I loved finally meeting Maya, she has a nicole / silver vibe and I loved it, I already want her book. Let's start by talking about how much I've been looking forward to this book and looking forward to reading it, The beginning of the book already took my breath away, I love books that start very well, that's a very positive point.
