About this deal

The colourant can be applied 2 ways if you read the instructions (BUT IS ALWAYS APPLIED TO WET, NOT SHAMPOOED, TOWEL DRIED HAIR), 1 method is for a full head, the other regrowth. Now, when I am toning I think it is even more ESSENTIAL to do a strand test so you know you aren’t over toning and are achieving the best results possible. I placed the colour on my root area (Where it was warmest) for 10 minutes, I then worked it through to my ends (Which were golden/yellow) for 5 minutes. This was as per my strand result, make sure you do one as your times may differ. After application, I then washed the colour from my hair, conditioned and then dried it. L’Oreal Casting Creme Gloss Light Frosted Blonde 1013 – Before (roots on top of head) L’Oreal Casting Creme Gloss Light Frosted Blonde 1013 – After (Roots on top of head) As you can see from my before and after the warm, brassy, orange tones are neutralised, leaving a more even golden result. This is exactly what I wanted to achieve. Now if your hair was not a light orange tone and you applied this colour, it would neutralise some of the orange but not all as it would not be a strong enough blue. It also would likely take the orange colour darker. This is why I said its more suitable for that light canary, gingery blonde colour. L’Oreal Casting Creme Gloss Light Frosted Blonde 1013 – Before L’Oreal Casting Creme Gloss Light Frosted Blonde 1013 – After The Loreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss has an ammonia-free formula, enriched with natural ingredients like mica, walnut, and argan oil. Its nourishing formula causes minimal damage during the coloring process. This is VERY important, as this will explain to you why it will help you. Firstly lets talk about the beginning of the number – 1013. If you were to see this on a professional L’Oreal dye in a salon, you may see it as 10.13 or 10/13. 10 represents the shade colour, as in how light or dark. As you can see from the box 10 is a light blonde – DO NOT GET CONFUSED AND THINK YOUR HAIR IS GOING TO BECOME THIS LIGHT BLONDE IF ITS NOT ALREADY AROUND THIS SHADE!! Then let’s talk about the last 2 number, now each number represents a tone, the first number ‘1’ represents the primary tone and the second number ‘3’ represents the secondary tone. Now ‘1’ in the L’Oreal colouring system (This is for L’Oreal and not other brands!) represents blue (Now you can see why I chose this one although shade 1010 will also be good, I like a gold undertone – hence the 3), ‘3’ represents gold. So , you have a light blonde blue based toner with a secondary undertone of gold. But, if you do not like a gold undertone, I recommend 1010. And that concludes my hair science lesson for today.

It is still a base 8 medium blonde after toning. However, the orange has neutralised, the golden tones are showing through nicely and my hair now looks more even toned (Even though the ends are still a 9 and I do still have the subtle ombre I started with). These hair colors have a rich conditioning creme formula that is gentle and nourishing, therefore suitable for sensitive scalps. However, you can consult a dermatologist or professional hair colorist to ensure the specific color product you use is non-irritating. I’ll have to say that life’s too short to have boring hair and everything looks better in color! That was my experience with the L’Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss hair color. Have you tried this?
