The oversized fairway wood is very forgiving and has a more aerodynamic head shape for long, high flying shots. But we were surprised to see that the “sand wedge” has a loft of 60 degrees, which to be honest doesn’t really make it a sand wedge (we’d expect a 52 or 54 degree loft there).Along with the driver and 3-wood featured in the last two sets, the Tour set comes with an additional 5-wood and 4-hybrid. With the Strata set, the irons also feature a thick topline for that feeling of confidence at the address, and have a generous offset to suit those with a tendency to slice their irons. The wedges (PW and sand) are really a continuation of the irons here (same cavity back design) so we won’t cover them separately. Moving onto the irons, and again they’re designed to get your ball up in the air, with a high level of forgiveness on off center hits.

The Strata Plus Set is a full set with a great combination of distance and forgiveness right out of the box.
