I thought that was going to ruin it for me however, Lindsey Kelk did a great job of explaining things. Angela’s lack of ability to communicate is barely present (although she does stick her foot in it a few times, just not the whole book) and it’s nice to see things going MOSTLY well, for once. This book had it all, it was full of high jinxes and in my honest opinion, this series of books should be made into a series of films as Lindsey Kelk has a natural way of comic writing yet she has developed characters who I wished I personally knew. As in I heart New York there were some great references to British brands and British icons which seems to make the book even more apt at having been released during the Queens Diamond Jubilee. Adding Jenny to any mix is always an interesting dynamic even if she doesn’t always get on everyone’s good side. Her mother thinks there’s a special reason Angela is getting married to Alex and keeps trying to feed her crackers.

But Angela seemed too scared to stand up to her, just letting the juggernaut of Jenny roll on, even when she and Louisa started getting into some pretty crazy arguments. The characters for me had very little depth and I couldn't connect with them or see how they could feel such a close tie towards each other.

I didn’t get on with Angela in Paris of Vegas so was pleasantly surprised that this Angela was the one that I loved in New York and Hollywood. In all of Kelk's books, there's always this heart-fluttering moment at the end that makes me cry sappy tears or leaves me smiling to myself.
